The things that we might love more than warm showers and fully equipped kitchens? ...patisseries and boulangeries! Dark chocolate, macaroons that melt in your mouth, chocolate that tastes like ice cream, inocous looking croissants with crusty-looking-cheese that turn out to be fill of gooey bechamel and ham goodness, freshly baked bread with: walnuts, oats, raisins, dates...pain au chocolate (chocolate filled croissant), gaufres (no, not gophers) with miel or vanille,
Let's not forget about the sausage, beer, cheese, and the wine. Oh the wine! Jesse even talks in his sleep about the wine -- last night, in fact, he said, "Nous charcha vin a vrac" (We are looking for wine from the tap). I nudged him, to tell him that not only is he sleep-talking in French, that wine is always on his mind. But he didn't wake up, and I let him continue dreaming about the wine that is cheaper than water.
We are having a love affair with French Food
